Welcome to WebQuest! Today I want you to imagine that you are 12 or 13 years old and
are leaving today on your biggest journey ever. We will begin our trip in Europe and end up in Ellis Island on the Eastern
coast of the United States. How exciting! A perhaps a little scary. Moving so far from everything you know, but your parents
promise that better things are to come in America and you want to believe them. We will be exploring what this must have been
like and I want you to find out all that you can so that you can write letters back to your friends who are still in Europe
and hope to one day come to America as well.
So now here is the big question,
What is America like?
